Nor-Lakes occupied the building at 13615 Fenway Boulevard Ct N, Hugo, Minnesota prior to 2004 until 2008.

Nor-Lakes Services Midwest was founded in 1988 and was a lubricants manufacturer for private labels including the Farm-Oyl brand. The Farm-Oyl brand has been marketing lubricants in the mid-west since 1929[1]. Often Farm-Oyl trucks could be seen at the loading docks on the north side of the building.

In spring of 2007 Nor-Lakes and the Farm-Oyl Company were acquired by CHS of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. CHS markets lubricants for use in agricultural, commercial, recreational and industrial equipment[1]. CHS moved operations out of Hugo in 2008.

Recent Activity (2008-present)

In December of 2008, Minnesota Commercial again started bringing tanker cars to this location. Later, a "remote" controlled Alco switcher was dropped off the first week of 2009. The switcher, CTM1 (Commercial Transload of MN 1), is a 660hp MLW S11 built in 1959[2]. More information about the switcher can be gathered from the blog entry New Locomotive in Town.
