Site on the corner of 6th and Broadway. Maps Related |
The corner of 6th and Broad hosted many guests during a hundred year period. The three story Occidental Hotel was built on the site in 1873, and in 1881, when it was purchased by E. L. Enos, the name was changed to the Enos Hotel. In 1917 the Hotel Pathfinder was built on the location.[1] In 1976 the Pathfinder was destroyed by a tragic gas explosion. The empty shell remained standing for a year until it was finally demolished.
The site now houses a bank and a line of shops.
