Union Depot
Built in 1903 and demolished around 1986, the Union depot in Fremont served both the Union Pacific and the Chicago and North Western. Union Pacific office is on the site where the depot once stood. Maps Related |
Fremont's Union Depot was built around 1903 and was quite busy as it served the Chicago and North Western tracks on the north side of the building, and Union Pacific on the tracks located on the south side of the building.
The depot was mission style with stucco walls and a bell tower on the west end. It was demolished around 1986 and the Union Pacific Fremont office is now on the site.
