Modeling Northstar Commuter Line

The prototype Northstar Commuter Line runs from Big Lake, Minnesota, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a southern terminus at Target Field. The line uses active BNSF Railway tracks the entire length of its run.

In June 2010 Athearn released Bombardier Coach and Cab cars with the Northstar Commuter Line paint scheme.

The cab car is placed on the end of the commuter train opposite of the locomotive. The engineer can control the train from this end when the train is operating in reverse. There are horns on the top distinguishing it from the other coaches.

This three pack includes coaches differently numbered than 707 and 604. To the best of my knowledge, a cab is not included in the three pack, theses are only coaches. (pictures depicting ends and numbering show no horns and are numbered in the 700s which are coaches (cabs are numbered in the 600s) but product pictures can be deceiving.) Several product news releases state that the coaches in the 3 pack are differently numbered than those sold individually.
